Hookworms are easily our favorite new band and their limited edition 12″ vinyl release on Gringo Records last year is utterly astounding. They even got a mention in The Guardian as the new band of the day. From Leeds their classic 80′s/90′s space-psych-rock drones are reminiscent of Spectrum, Spaceman 3 and Can and you can’t help but hearing repetitive melodies not unlike Happy Mondays and early Verve.
Broken Arm, also on Gringo Records these lads are a Leeds noise punk staple. The good old tight variety, amazing guitar sound, fantastic drums, solid bass and an energetic front man. You really need not ask for any more.
Year of Birds – new band on the new, local label Ack, Ack, Ack records equals excitement. And so you should be, this band is great and just what we’ve been waiting for round these parts. Can’t wait to witness their brilliance live.
So come along for our first gig of 2012. The last couple were an absolute blast as we’re sure this will be.
WE ONLY HAVE SIX OF THESE FANTASTIC SINGLES LEFT IN STOCK!
On one side we have the lovely Leeds legends That Fucking Tank playing their version of Red and on the other side are the almighty Monster Killed by Laser doing Lark Tongue’s in Aspic (part 2) both by King Crimson. On a lovely coloured vinyl slab within a hand numbered screen printed cover.
If you don’t own it then you are daft!
